NOT WHERE IT IS PRODUCED, BUT HOW IT IS PRODUCED
Miniconf has always asked its employees, partners, customers, and suppliers to share its values. For this reason, in collaboration with major international certification organizations that control the quality and safety of the products put on the market, several essential principles have been outlined.
Miniconf rejects all forms of discrimination and exploitation. It rejects child labour. It requests the utmost respect of the environment. It requests, from its suppliers, the adherence to the Miniconf Code of Conduct, which defines the guidelines for workplace safety and environmental protection.
Miniconf has UNI EN ISO 14001 certification (Read our environmental policy). The company audits its suppliers to evaluate their true adherence to the Code of Conduct. It has them sign a contractual commitment for compliance with the safety requirements set down by the company.”
SAFETY, FIRST AND FOREMOST
Product quality is closely related to product safety. For this reason, ever since 2003, Miniconf has carried out rigorous checks and tests to verify any and all possible health risks for consumers and anyone working in the production of the garments. Both the chemical and mechanical aspects of the garments are checked, to make sure they comply with the Italian and international legislation. Already in the design phase, extreme care is taken in deciding the single elements that will make up the garment, because everything must be conceived and considered with the child’s total safety in mind.
Intertek is an international company specialized in certification services, inspection and testing. It supports producers, distributors and retailers with tests on the products put on the market, with a focus on clothing and textiles. Since years Intertek has been supporting Miniconf in all the tests on its clothings and all the auditings on his production chain.
MINICONF SAYS NO TO ANIMAL FURS
Miniconf adhered to the International Standard “Fur Free”, which in Italy is coordinated by LAV (Anti vivisection league). Starting from the collection Fall/Winter 14, a “Fur-free Company” label will enable consumers to easily identify eco-fur garments.
